Eden graduated!!! - by Susan

Today, Eden graduated from Preschool!!  It seems like yesterday that she was just a twinkle in my eye (as Grandma Julie likes to say) and now she's all grows'd up!  I can't believe next year I'm going to have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner!!!  Does any one else think that this is ridiculous??!?!?  Like we're in a time-warp of some kind?!?!?  How did time pass by so fast?? Soon we'll be attending her high school graduation.  Aaargh!

Anyway, Eden was beautiful in her mint green Easter dress that she never got to wear for Easter!!!  She had been making a big deal about this secret song that they were going to sing, but of course she's 5 and not very good at keeping secrets.  She  would always hum it or do the motions so we already  knew it was going to be "Sing to the North and the South" or whatever the real title is. She did awesome!!! She didn't get stage fright....she was a natural performer! Two little old ladies came up to us after the ceremony and said that were supposed to be watching their little grandson but Eden stole the show!  I think she's going to be a cheerleader.  There were a bunch of kids who really didn't give a flying fart  about doing the motions that went with the song (have you ever seen J.T. perform?) and Eden was so deliberate and so animated that she was actually entertaining to watch.    I'm glad she was in the front and not tucked away in the back.  Being small does have its benefits.
